I think I have a love/hate relationship with facebook. I dread seeing all the messages etc. that I got when I turn on the computer, but then when I actually go to facebook, I get sucked in again and think it is all great, but I waste a lot of time there that I can’t afford, so I am sitting on the fence on this one. One of these days I am not going to like it at all anymore and then I have to make a decision again, like I did before. Or I can semi-retire and participate very occasionally.

Debs, I know, they make it very difficult for you to quit, don’t they? And very easy to start back up again.

The Exfactor got the camera, because it was his anyway. As soon as I have my own, I will take pictures of the artwork that I am doing, if I like it well enough, that is.

I think what I enjoy the most about face book is having lots of little conversations with people I would otherwise not bother to email. It’s almost like passing someone in the street or meeting them at the shop, instead of going to their house. Blogging is like house visiting, as is emailing.

I was invited to be a friend on Facebook about a year ago, but really, it has not been a part of my own personal culture. Turns out none of my own friends knew much about Facebook and were even less inclined to find out. So I perversely kept my page with only that one friend. Now, I cannot even remember how to get into it. I much prefer blogging and my new blogfriends.

Hi Irene, I am not tempted at all to try face book, which is just as well as I wouldn’t have a clue how to set it up! I think email & blogging is enough for me.
Was quite touched that you wanted the other person’s art & that you got it framed & hung so fast. She must be thrilled. When you get a camera, I would love to see it.
Weather is bleak here! One more day of freedom then school starts again.

Irene I left facebook in April. I was given a multi choice as to why. I chose it was not useful. Facebook told me I should get more friends! I have not missed facebook. Debs x

How nice of that lady to give you her artwork, and how great that you framed and hung it right away! I can’t wait until you get a camera so we can see some of these images.

I got on Facebook a long time ago, and haven’t visited my own page in months. I am bad. I know what you mean by some people adding friends just for the numbers; I have way too much going on in my life to do that!

Today is a relaxing day here too; it is cloudy and cool. And I can’t believe the apple tree in the back already has leaves turning yellow! YIKES!
